Three Spirit Dances was written in 1996, and the first two movements were performed by the New Jersey Chamber Music Society in 1997. The trio in its entirety was premiered by Meirav Kadichevsky (oboe) and Ayelet Ballin (basson) in Caesarea, Israel, 1998. It was performed in 2007 at the National Museum of the American Indian by members of the Verge ensemble. It was performed by members of the San Diego Symphony on October 19, 2008, at The Merc, as part of the Golden Valley Music Society series.
